Akron Carnegie Public Library launches Adventure Backpacks! In conjunction with the Indiana State Parks, patrons who have a valid library card and are in good standing with the library, may check out our Adventure Backpack that provides you will gate admission to any Indiana state park. Explore at your leisure hiking, biking, swimming, fishing, interpretive programs, bird watching and nature centers. Each backpack comes with binoculars, a Bird Watching for Beginners Guide, a flashlight, compass, first aid kit, and an Indiana Recreation Guide and is good for one week check out.
